First Impressions Team (Sunday Morning)

Parking Lot Greeters

Greet people with a smile and wave as they arrive. Help people find parking on busy days.  Offer a helping hand to those who need help getting to the building or carrying something in. 

Commitment: One Sunday a month, at one service. 20 minutes before service starts. 

Greeters

Welcome people to Cedarbrook with a warm smile and greeting. 

Commitment: One Sunday a month, at one service.  20 minutes before service starts. 

Information Desk

Assist people by answering their questions and directing them to the right place or right person.

Commitment: One Sunday a month, at one service. 20 minutes before service starts. 

Ushers

Welcome people as they enter the auditorium and help them find a seat. 

Commitment: One Sunday a month, at one service. 20 minutes before service starts. 

Café Crew

Set-up coffee and donuts to serve. Keep the kitchen looking clean and orderly. Greet people with a smile! 

Commitment: One Sunday a month, at one service. Reporting time is 8:00am for First Service and 10:00am for Second Service.

Worship & Tech Team

Band Members

Must possess vocal and/or instrumental skills consistent with the nature of our band. Vocalists and instrumentalists are encouraged to audition. 

Commitment: Band rehearses on Thursday nights and at 7:00am on Sunday mornings. Member must be available to perform at both services. 

Lights

Run the light board for Sunday morning services.

Commitment: Both services, once a month (or more if desired). 

Sound Board Operator

Run the sound board for Sunday morning services.

Commitment: Thursday nights and both services, once a month (or more if desired). 

ProPresenter

Run slides for Sunday morning services.

Commitment: Thursday nights and both services, once a month (or more if desired). 

Cameras

Run cameras and Livestream for Sunday morning services.

Commitment: Both services, once a month (or more if desired). 

Videographer

We would like to offer short videos for announcements and sermon illustrations that are one to three minutes in length. If you are skilled in creating short videos, you would have a significant impact on upgrading our ability to communicate on Sundays. 

Commitment: This is very flexible since videos are produced on your timetable. 

Photographer

Capture the culture at Cedarbrook events!   Camera available for use!

Commitment:  As events are scheduled or time requested for special Sunday services.

Safety & Security Team

Be a part of the team that oversees the Safety & Security of our Sunday services and larger events! 

Commitment: Be available for 1-2x a month on Sunday, and occasional events.

CBKids Children’s Ministry

Registration Volunteer 

Welcomes parents & children to CBKids, registers new families, and assists all families as needed with the check-in process. Oversees the safety and security of the CBKids wing before, during and after each service by securing and monitoring doors and verifying attendance.

Commitment: 1 service, 1-5 times a month, participation in training. Arrives 30 minutes before scheduled service time.

Small Group Leaders (Teachers/Co-Teachers)

Leads a small group of kids based on age/grade in school. Loves God and kids, desires a growing relationship with God. Greets and builds relationships with kids, reviews CBKids teaching materials (provided) prior to service time, leads or co-leads a small group lesson plan, creates a safe & caring space, and ensures that kids are released to the appropriate person. 

Commitment: 1 Service, 2-5 times a month (Both kids and volunteers benefit when they serve more frequently.) Participates in training. Arrives 30 minutes before scheduled service time.

Junior Leaders

Assists small group leaders in assigned area (classroom or registration). Junior leaders are students in grades 6-12 (under 18 years of age) who love kids, want to serve in children’s ministry, and take direction well. Responsibilities include greeting and engaging kids as they arrive, modeling good behavior and participation, assisting adult leaders (passing out papers, turning in registration, assisting with crafts, etc.). Junior leaders may also serve as “buddies” to new or struggling students.

Commitment: 1 Service, 2-5 times a month (Both kids and volunteers benefit when they serve more frequently.) Participates in training. Arrives 30 minutes before scheduled service time.

IGNITE Youth Ministry

Worship, Media & Tech Team (6-12th graders)

All positions available on Sunday are available on Wednesdays for youth  in 6-12th grade.  Be a part of the band, or the sound, light and video teams!

Commitment:  Wednesday Nights

Midweek Ministries

Week Day Hosts

To greet guests at the Information Desk and help divert incoming calls to our staff. Hosts also provide clerical support to the office staff. 

Commitment: 9:00am – 12:00pm, or 12:00pm – 3:00pm, one day per week (or may request to be on a sub lists). 

Small Study Group Leader

Lead a small study group with the “Going Deeper” questions from the sermons or on a topic of your choice. No bible knowledge required. This role requires Cedarbrook membership.

Commitment: Attend a three session training for small study group leaders. Lead a weekly small study group for at least 9 months.

Pastoral Care Visitor

Visit people in Menomonie, Eau Claire, and Rochester hospitals to offer encouragement and prayer. Must have a vehicle. 

Commitment: Varies based on the number of people in hospital and where the hospital is. You can visit as many people or as few as you care to. 

Contributions Volunteer

Assist on Monday mornings with weekly contribution counting and recording. Need to be a fast learner and good with numbers. Due to the sensitive nature of finances, this role requires Cedarbrook membership.

Commitment: Be available for 1-2 hours on Mondays one to two times per month.

Housekeeping/Grounds/Prayer Trail

Assist with making sure the building and grounds are in great shape before and after events and throughout the year.  Cleaning, Yard and Garden maintenance opportunities.

Commitment: Flexible or as needed
