ACTS

The book of Acts is all about the continuation of what Jesus started. People were filled with the Holy Spirit that enabled and empowered them to heal the sick, provide for the poor, and share their faith. All of that continues into our day and we are to be like them, doing what Jesus did!

Not in the Bible

"God helps those who help themselves."

"Money is the root of all evil."

"Everything happens for a reason."

"God will never give you more than you can handle."

These sayings are things we hear often and often make the mistake that since they sound sort of biblical that they must be in the bible.  However, these are not in the Bible and can be harmful if we treat them as if they are in the Bible.
