Prayer Trail Stations

Welcome to the Prayer Trail. This trail is designed to lead you through a time of prayer that will focus your heart and mind on God, no matter what you are going through. There are brief instructions at each station inspired by several scripture-based spiritual practices, such as the Lord’s Prayer. Take your time at each stop as you walk through this time of prayer. 

Quieting Your Mind

Allow yourself to be quiet, leaving the distractions of the world behind

In our busy and noisy world, it is so easy to become distracted from hearing God’s voice. A vital part of prayer is to allow yourself to be quiet, and take time to remove those distractions from your mind. As you walk to the next station, allow your mind to rest and simply think about the steps you are taking, the breath in your lungs, the sound of the wind and birds chirping, and entering into God’s presence.


“But Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed.” Luke 5:16 

Thanksgiving

Thank God for all of the gifts and blessings He has given you. 

As we come before God, it is important to start with a heart of gratitude and thanksgiving. Thanking God for all of the many blessings in our lives helps us to focus on all the good in life, rather than just the negatives. Take time to thank God for everything you can think of, from the big important things in life down to the small details.
