Sending 300+ local people to serve those in need.

Serve Sunday!

Mission Possible Weekend began several years ago as a way to help Cedarbrookers raise funds to serve on mission trips. Through your generosity at carnivals, auctions, raffles, and more, we raise enough each year to send 100 people out to serve the world!

But we also believe mission work starts right here at home. That’s why we dedicate 20% of the funds raised to “Serve Sunday” —a day to serve and bless our local community.

Join us on Serve Sunday, April 26th, by choosing a project below and helping make a difference right here where we live.

Rotary Feeds | Meal packing – 2 Shifts

Rotary Feeds’ mission is to reduce the number of hungry children in the US and to feed children throughout the world.  Join in the action as we pack 20,000 meals for our community.

WHERE: Alliance Church Gymnasium | 502 First Street - Menomonie

WHEN: 11:15 am to 12:30 pm OR 12:45 pm to 2:15 pm

Participants under 10 years old must be partnered with an adult. Work requires standing and some lifting. Hair / beard nets and gloves will be provided.

Cairn House Kitchen

The Cairn House offers short-term transitional housing where residents work with staff to obtain employment, pursue education, secure permanent housing, and move toward self-sufficiency.  We will deep clean the kitchen at this 20 bed facility to help create a clean, welcoming space for residents and volunteers to gather and prepare meals.

WHERE: 1602 Stout Road - Menomonie

WHEN: 1:00 to 3:00 pm

Participants must be 18+ years old

Stepping Stones | Grounds

Stepping Stones is an organization in Menomonie that helps support those experiencing food insecurity or homelessness.  We will be painting outdoors, cleaning up landscaping, sweeping, and more to maintain a welcoming, dignified place for those who come for help

WHERE: 1602 Stout Road - Menomonie

WHEN: 12:30 to 3:30 pm

Participants must be 18+ years old

Bridge to Hope | Building & Grounds

Bridge to Hope is more than a facility for those affected by domestic violence — for many people it is their home during a time when they need safety and stability the most. This project focuses on caring for the building and grounds through cleaning, painting, and general maintenance. Work will be inside and outside.

WHERE: 2110 Fourth Avenue NE – Menomonie

WHEN: 12:30 to 3:30 pm

Participants 14 years and younger must be accompanied by an adult. Most supplies will be provided, but we need participants to bring their rakes and trimmers (One 8' ladder and two wheelbarrows are needed also.)

Red House of Hope | Building & Grounds

RHH supports individuals who have experienced loss and hardship connected to mental health struggles, addiction, and poverty. Their retreat center (just 30 minutes from Cedarbrook) is a dedicated to bringing hope and awareness to the Chippewa Valley through trainings and community gatherings.

Let’s help prepare the property and buildings for their upcoming summer season. Work will be inside and outside.

WHERE: Red House of Hope | E7303 160th Avenue - Mondovi

WHEN: 12:30 to 3:30

Participants 14 years and younger must be accompanied by an adult.  Please bring rake and trimmers.

Homeless Ministry | Care Kits

Simple items can make everyday life a little easier for someone experiencing homelessness. Things like clean socks, hygiene supplies, and small personal items help meet practical needs while also reminding people they are seen and valued. We will assemble care kits as a small act of care that can bring comfort, dignity, and encouragement.

WHERE: Cedarbrook Church – New Lounge

WHEN: 12:15 to 1:30 pm

Participants 12 years and younger must be accompanied by an adult.

Stepping Stones | Birthday bags

Stepping Stones is a local food pantry that helps individuals and families facing food insecurity by providing groceries and essential items. Assembling birthday bags—with cake mix, decorations, and a handmade card—helps ensure that families who are struggling can still celebrate their child’s special day. It’s a small way to bring joy, dignity, and a sense of normalcy during a difficult season

WHERE:  Cedarbrook Church – Sunday Lobby

WHEN: 12:30 to 1:30 pm

Open to all ages. Children less than 12 years old must be accompanied by an adult

Sleep in Heavenly Peace | Bed Build

No kid sleeps on the floor in our town! Help build 25 beds for children age 3 through 17 in the Menomonie area who do not have beds.  Work includes sanding, prepping beds for fastening, and staining. Dress for outdoors.

WHERE:  Wakanda Park, Lions Club Shed (located near the elk)

WHEN: 12:30 to 4:30 p.m.

Participants under age 12 must partner with an adult. A consent form will be emailed.

Comfort of Home – Menomonie Assisted Living | Chalk & Visit

Help brighten the sidewalks with chalk at Comforts of Home Assisted Living as a simple way to add color, joy, and encouragement to the day of residents and visitors. Spending time visiting with residents provides a meaningful reminder that they are seen, valued, and cared for in our community.

WHERE: 917 22nd Avenue North – Menomonie
